AIMS
The club aims to provide lessons, recreational and competitive
swimming for all ages, and provide a framework for all swimmers to reach their full potential. We aim to run a
friendly Club and hope that everyone enjoys their swimming. We are affiliated to the "Southern Counties Amateur
Swimming Association" and assigned to "Hampshire County A.S.A".
Structure
Each swimmer who joins the club will be put into one of four houses -
Bandits, Pirates, Raiders or Vikings. We aim to run three friendly inter-house galas each year with events for
all ages. These galas are relaxed, friendly and noisy evenings - ideal for young swimmers to get used to competitive
swimming. Each house has a swimming captain, a vice-captain and an adult helper.
Equity Policy Statement
The Club is committed to treat everyone equally within the context of their
activity, regardless of sex, ethnic origin, religion, disability, age; sexual
orientation or political persuasion. The Club will ensure that equity as stated in the club rules is incorporated in all aspects of it's
activities and also recognises and adopts the Sport England definition of
Sports Equity:
Sports Equity is about fairness in sport, equality of access, recognizing inequalities and taking
steps to address them. It is about changing the culture and structure of sport
to ensure it becomes equally accessible to everyone in society.
Ich habe eine Seite gefunden http://studien-erfolg.Com/, dort abschlussarbeit,- danke. The Club is committed to everyone having the right to enjoy their sport in an environment free from
threat of discrimination, intimidation, harassment and abuse. All Club members have a
responsibility to challenge discriminatory behaviour and promote equality of
opportunity. The Club will deal with any incidence of discriminatory behaviour seriously, according to the club
disciplinary procedures.
Doping Protocols
It is a requirement of our doping procedures for all
swimmers registered to take part incompetition, and who take regular medication for
asthma, to send these details for inclusion on their registration record. It is
important therefore that clubs ensure that members are aware of this
requirement.
In addition to this it is now a requirement of FINA that information is notified to the Governing
Body regarding medical conditions requiring the permanent use of a banned substance where there is no other substitute. As these conditions are less
common (see list below) there is no general form to complete for this notification.
Following the receipt by the Governing Body of a medical certificate, a dispensation to swim
in competitions up to National level may be given. Information will be issued
on an individual basis including details for applying for dispensation to
compete in international competition which requires further approval by the
FINA Doping Control Review Body.
Swimmers or their parents should send the medical certificate, which must clearly indicate the
name and address of the swimmer and their doctor, to the address below in an
envelope marked “Notifiable Medication”.
| MEDICAL CONDITION | REQUIRED TREATMENT |
| Diabetes | Insulin Injections |
| Growth Disorders | Growth Hormone |
| Hormone Ceficient Conditions of the Pituitary Gland or Adrenal Gland | Steroid Treatment |
| Orthopaedic Conditions | Intra Articular Steroid Injections |
| Juvenile Arthritis | Prednisolone |
| Behaviour Problems | Ritalin |
| Renal Failure | Erythropoetin |
If you haven’t already let us know that you take any of these medications, please
contact either Theresa Hickson (ASA Registrations Secretary) or hand in your
details to the desk on club nights and they will pass it on.
